awesome food
The food at Canaletto is great. I highly recomend if you have children. The pasta and dessert is excellent. Other great vegas Italian restaurants would be B&B Ristorante and Bartolotta at the Wynn.
Great Italian food

Excellent Northern Italian in a wonderful setting
Canaletto is located in St Marks Square in the Canal Shoppes at the Venetian. I have had two excellent meals there. The cuisine is Northern Italian so there is not so much marinara. I had risottos on both visits and they were excellent. The first with veal and mushrooms and the second with shrimp and cuttlefish (absolutely fresh and melt in your mouth tender). The staff is efficient and friendly and you can sit inside where it is quiet or on the plaza and enjoy the passing parade of shoppers and costumed entertainers who populate the Canal Shoppes. My wife had veal shank on risotto and it was tender and delicious. The prices are moderate, not inexpensive, but the food is excellent and the selection very broad and original. I highly recommend this restaurant.
