Review:

I came to Battista's Hole in the Wall as a reccomendation by a friend. Now this review is coming from someone who grew up with this food and all I can say is its not worth the price of admission. There are many better choices for that kind of scratch out there. I am sure at one point in the past the glitz and nostalgia of the joint has or had its draw, but for me its all about the food and value and I just didnt get that there. I am sorry to say but I will not be going back.

My husband and I were married on 10/10/10 in Las Vegas. We asked around as to where we should take our immediate family for our wedding dinner and Batista's was mentioned a couple of times. So we made a reservations and were so happy with our choice. It is such a neat place. The food, the ambiance, and the staff and Gordy the accordian player, even played us a love song in celebration. We are planning our trip this year and will be visiting Batista's again. We loved it! I can't wait!!

Been there on 5 different occasions going back 20 years. Food, Service and Price can't be beat..Location leaves a little to be desired, but once inside well worth it.

Oh my, this place is great! For starters, the bread, salad, pasta, and wine come with every meal. It's included with the price of the meal. Don't worry about the $25 price tag for meals. You won't be hungry for the rest of the day and on to the next morning. The steak pizzaiola is absolutely delicious. My girlfriend and I recently split this and the chicken rio. Que delicioso! For a total check of $70, including tip, you'll be happy as hell you came to this place. Also, generally, you'll leave with plenty of leftovers. It makes for a great breakfast. Lol...

One word describes my experience on 8/7/2010- Terrible. First, what kind of "authentic" Italian Restaurant has their menu posted on the wall of the dining area? If I wanted that, I would have gone to Burger King, McDonalds, or any one of a host of fast food joints. Actually, the quality of the food would have been better had I opted to do that. I had the linguini and clam sauce for the low low price of...$26.95. Yes, you read that right. The dish was bland at best. I have no doubt the clams were store bought and who knows how long they were sitting in the can before being opened and served. And while it's true they tossed half a dozen shelled clams on top of the pasta, they were so rubbery, I only made it through 2 of them. And don't be fooled by the fact that wine with dinner is "free". Given the quality of the wine they serve (a carafe of white and red is brought to the table), the price tag of "free" still left me with the feeling I was being over charged. I am guessing ... Review: I felt like I took a step back in time. Back when food and service were excellent. I had the Veal Piccante. Mmmmm, delish! Don't let the name "Hole in the Wall" fool you. This is definetly no hole in the wall. Just the thought of the sweet serenade and the sweet wine makes me want to go back to Vegas. I also enjoyed the celebrity pictures. This place is cool. If you want a casual experience with upscale Italian food and great service this is your place. Kelli, Tyler, Tx.
