Named one of the “Top 66 Restaurants in the World,” Japonais presents Las Vegas with Asian cuisine in a lush, exotic atmosphere. Located at the Mirage Hotel and Casino, Japonais opens nightly for dinner only. The expansive menu features a selection of appetizers, salads, and soups in addition to beef, poultry, and seafood entrees. Main entrée highlights include Salmon Japonais, 7 Spice Kobe Ribeye, and “Le Quack Japonais.” The sushi menu ranges from various slices of tuna, white fish, and roe alongside chef specialties. Aside from the main dining room, Japonais offers lounge dining and late night menu Thursday through Sunday, and a full bar.
We chose this restaurant because of its proximity to the show we were seeing at the Mirage and the menu. What a find! The waitstaff was wonderful and pampered us without being overbearing, from the moment we walked in the doo, to when we departed. The food was beautifully prepared and delicious. We ended up sharing plates amongst our party of six and enjoyed every bite. The ambience is lovely and we truly felt like we had stepped into another world, not an easy task for a business parked smack dab in the middle of a smokey Casino.
