STRIPSTEAK

Under the inspired influence of Executive Chef Michael Mina, STRIPSTEAK at Mandalay Bay, elevates the traditional American steakhouse to new heights of gourmet revelry. The modernist décor sets a swanky stage for the gastronomic extravagances presented on the menu, and Mina transforms steakhouse standards with decadent applications: the Steak Fries are deep fried in duck fat, the Macaroni and Cheese is gussied up with truffles, and the traditional Scalloped Potatoes become inspired gastronomy with caramelized onion and goat cheese. While the Steak is blissfully unadulterated, the purity of flavor is intensified by the high quality of the All-Natural Certified Angus, American, and Japanese Kobe, meat used.

Shanghai Lilly

Shanghai Lilly captures the romance, exoticism, and nostalgia, of turn-of-the-century Shanghai with a distinctive modern sensibility. Creating an atmosphere of solitude, tranquility, and elegance, the tastefully decorated main dining room features a variety of Asian-themed artifacts and artistic black and white photographs of the restaurant's namesake, 1920's celebrity Shanghai Lilly. The oft-changing menu features Cantonese and Szechwan delicacies that highlight fresh and seasonal ingredients. The Kung Pao Chicken and Lamb with Ginger, Onion, Basil, and Chili, is a dish worthy of mention. The Fried Rice with jumbo lump crab meat and egg whites is another savory delight.

Aureole

Prestigious Chef Charlie Palmer has finally brought his famous New York restaurant to Vegas. This sleek, dramatic restaurant, located in the Mandalay Bay Hotel, offers a stunning setting in which to enjoy Palmer’s equally stunning American cuisine. The seasonal menu offers prix fixe and tasting options, showcasing the best produce, meat, and fish available. Here dining is art, and the four-foot, climate-controlled, wine tower housing over 9,000 bottles, is a masterpiece in its own right. Be sure to catch the “wine angels,” black-clad wine stewardesses who are hoisted up and down the tower to retrieve bottles each evening.

Foundation Room

Have you ever wondered what’s on the roof of Mandalay Bay, and why people crowd outside in the summer time? Or have you pondered where all the beautifully dressed ultra chic people emerge from en masse, descending upon the House of Blues? Welcome to the Foundation Room. Originally a ‘members only’ secret, accessible only via a private elevator in Mandalay Bay, the Foundation Room began last summer opening up to the public and is now open to locals on Monday and Thursday nights. Distinguished, with tasteful vintage décor, the food mirrors the appointments inside, combining Asian and Indian influences with European flair and some luxurious versions of American comfort classics.

Internationally acclaimed chef Alain Ducasse opened his first Las Vegas venture in grand style in 2004, delivering not just a restaurant, but an experience. Situated on the 64th floor of THEhotel, Mix offers unparalleled views of The Strip, a dazzling white dining room with 15,000-piece "Champagne bubble" chandelier, and a menu that melds international ingredients with French flair. Executive Chef Bruno Davaillon helms a highly seasonal kitchen. For dessert, the Mix Candy Bar delivers much more than the name promises. To drink, choose from 1200 bottles of wine, stored in a two-story closet that forms the dining room's south wall.

Fleur De Lys

The highly acclaimed San Francisco eatery, Fleur de Lys, has come to The Strip, and continues the tradition of visually show-stopping restaurant spaces in the Mandalay Bay. The venue’s main walls feature a spectacular floral sculpture that uses 3,000 fresh cut roses to produce the image of a leaf. Just as impressive as the setting is the cuisine prepared by famed chef, Hubert Keller. Dishes like the Truffled Onion Soup with a braised duck ragout and black truffles, and the Ground Kobe Beef Fleuburger “Rossini” with sautéed foie gras, and black truffles, touch on the exquisite complexity of flavors Chef Keller masters.

Eyecandy Sound Lounge & Bar

Eyecandy Sound is Mandalay Bay’s ultimate ambient lounge experience. Each patron controls the action from their booth with touch interactive tables to choose musical selections and project videos on the nearby screens for their sole entertainment. Each booth area is semi private so choices don’t conflict. There is also a main dance area with its own video screens and the dance floors that change each time people move to the beats of the VJs. The full bar is specially lit to create a shimmering effect to go along with the amazing drinks by master mixer Tony Abou-Ganim. Completely indulge the senses at this sensory appealing lounge where the patrons look almost as good as the atmosphere provided.
