Ten Happy Hour Deals Worth Checking Out

In Las Vegas money seems to fly out of your pocket as quickly and easily as the craps dice fly from your hand. But this doesn't mean that there aren't ways to save a buck or two when dining out. Restaurants and bars always seem to bring out new deals to attract seasonal vacationers and curious locals. So make happy hour truly happy in Las Vegas by checking out the top ten deals being offered right now.

Nove Italiano at the Palms Casino offers the simplest of specials, where seven is the lucky number. Weekdays from 5:30pm to 8:00pm cocktails and select glasses of wine are only $7. Although there are no dining specials, Chef Geno Bernardo's tasty bites, like the prosciutto di Parma sliders, are an excellent pairing with your discounted drink.

The MGM Grand Hotel & Casino currently has three of its most popular restaurants offering happy hour specials: Diego's happy hour is available in their bar and lounge Sunday through Thursday 4:00pm to 5:30pm and is great for small groups. Beers begin at $5 and wine is $7 for a single serving, but the real deals come in pitchers. Draft beers are only $19 and pitchers of margaritas and sangria are $31. Food discounts are available and include gourmet guacamole featuring sun dried tomatoes for $3, a selection of two tacos for $5, and Chipotle Braised Beef Tortas for $6.

SEABLUE is Michael Mina's Mediterranean influenced restaurant that serves seafood and tapas with bold flavors. Available in the bar area Sunday through Friday from 5:30pm to 7:00pm you can enjoy a daily specialty cocktail for $5, wine for $5, or a pint of draft beer for $3. Appetizers like chorizo stuffed clams, grilled octopus skewers, and fried oysters all start at $5. These little bites are a great way to take the edge off your hunger before going out for the evening.

Nobhill Tavern gives late night diners the chance to partake in the discounts. From 10:00pm to 12:00am nightly you can get $4 bottled beers, $8 specialty cocktails, and $8 snacks and finger foods. Korean BBQ Chicken Wings and the New England Crab & Lobster Rolls are both popular choices. For drinks check out the Nobhill Cablecar which has the traditional spiced rum and orange liqueur, but is finished with a bruleed cinnamon-sugar rim.

Those looking for sushi can go to Sushi Roku in the Forum Shops at Caesars. Every day from 4:00pm to 7:00pm you can get discounted sushi rolls that begin at $5. Those familiar with sushi prices around Las Vegas know what a great deal this is. Japanese beers, sake, and wine are also discounted to complete your sushi dining experience.

Fine dining and steakhouse enthusiasts can find deals at a selection of restaurants as well. BOA Steakhouse serves a wide variety of options during their happy hour. Sunday through Thursday from 4:00pm to 7:00pm in the bar area appetizers are only $5. Black Truffle "Nachos", Beef Tartare, and Ahi Tuna Sliders are an excellent pairing to the bold and polished atmosphere. Well cocktails are $4, domestic beers are $3, and all specialty cocktails are half-off. Wine devotees will also be excited with all wines by the glass prices be reduced by 50%.

STRIPSTEAK at Mandalay Bay has nightly specials that run from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. The sophisticated atmosphere of the bar and lounge is an attractive location to sip $3 bottled beer and $6 specialty cocktails. Included on the specialty menu is the Raspberry Lemonade which is a fizzy delight that helps finish your workday nicely.

Aureole isn't limiting itself to any day of the week with its happy hours. At Mandalay Bay each night from 5:30pm to 7:00pm you and your better half can indulge in two-for-one specials. All of their beverages are offered in the downstairs lounge and upstairs wine bar at this special rate. During summer they also offer small plate dining options in the lounge and main dining room that include Spicy Italian Sausage Bruschetta, Spanish Anchovy and Green Olive Salad, and Polenta Fritters with Baby Artichokes.

Simon Restaurant & Lounge at the Palms Place Hotel and Spa offers happy hour menu Monday through Friday from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. Chic and modern, Simon features appetizers, sushi, wine by the glass, beer, and premium well drinks all for $6. These specials were only recently introduced, and serve as a great introduction to the stylish restaurant.

Located in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip, Blondie's is a classic sports bar a hangout. From 3:00pm to 6:00pm every day it is $20 for all you can drink domestic draft beer and well drinks. If you go for an afternoon game it's possible to almost never have an empty drink in hand. The menu is classic American bar fare with pizzas, burgers, and fried finger foods. Over 40 big screens surround Blondie's, so no matter where you sit you'll never miss a play.
